Job summary

Akumin is hiring a CT Technologist for our Newark, NJ facility. The role focuses on producing high-quality diagnostic CT images while ensuring patient safety and strong teamwork.

Requirements include ARRT CT certification (NMTCB acceptable in lieu of ARRT), a state license, CPR, and a High School diploma or equivalent (Associate's degree preferred). Excellent communication and multitasking with clinical colleagues are essential.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Ensures patient safety, including pre-screening for contraindications to radiation and contrast injections.
• Operates CT scanner and related equipment; maintains image quality.
• Produces high quality diagnostic images.
• Communicates effectively with patients, radiologists, and team.
• Trains new technologists and/or PC's.
• Troubleshoots scanner and peripheral equipment (monitors, PACS, etc.).

We are currently hiring for a CT Technologist at our Newark, NJ facility. This will be a Full Time position.

Job Responsibilities

• Ensures Patient Safety, including pre-screening for contra-indications to radiation and contrast injections.
• Also, the use of aseptic injection techniques.
• Produces high quality diagnostic images.
• Effectively communicates with customers and/or radiologists.
• Trains new technologist and/or PC's.
• Trouble-shoots the scanner, coach and all peripheral equipment (including monitors, PACS, etc.).

Position Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience; Associate's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Registered Computed Tomography Technologists by the ARRT.
• If allowable by state where service is provided certification by the NMTCB in Computed Tomography acceptable in lieu of ARRT registry.
• State license.
• Licensed in Medical Imaging, if applicable.
• CPR certification.
• Technologists performing mid-day moves.
• Active State Driver’s License.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Organizational and multitasking skills.
• Basic knowledge of computer applications and programs.

The estimated hourly pay range for this role in NJ is $29.80 - $53.63. Actual compensation depends on experience, skills, location, and other factors such as internal equity and budget.
