Job summary

Akumin is seeking a Patient Coordinator at the Osborne facility to handle front-desk duties, patient registration, insurance verification, and scheduling. The role requires strong customer service and organizational skills, with the ability to work across multiple sites as needed.

Excellent communication, basic computer skills, and a flexible approach to travel between locations are essential. CPR certification is preferred prior to hire, and a pre-employment background check and drug screen are

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• CPR Certification must be obtained prior to hire (Mobile Radiology & Oncology).
• Valid state driver’s license may be required.
• Ability to work at several locations.
• COVID-19 vaccination may be a condition of employment.
• Pre-employment background check and drug screen will be conducted.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients in person and over the phone.
• Register patients in systems accurately.
• Answer phone calls professionally and courteously.
• Verify insurance and obtain prior authorization when needed.
• Schedule patient appointments and maintain records.
• Maintain HIPAA compliant documentation and records.
• Assist with patient transportation and in-procedure instructions.
