Job summary

Advocate Health Care is seeking a part-time CT/Imaging assistant for the 20-hour-per-week shift pattern with primarily 8-hour shifts, and occasional 12-hour shifts. The role involves learning IV starts, assisting with imaging procedures, and coordinating patient flow across CT and MRI as needed. Weekend and holiday coverage rotate as required.

Qualifications

• GED or HS diploma required.
• No prior experience required.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification required upon hire unless exempted by dept. leadership.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in exam preparation and transport between rooms.
• Use radiology computer systems to generate requisitions, check schedules, and obtain patient information.
• Prepare exam rooms, maintain cleanliness, stock supplies and equipment.
• Greet patients and respond to routine requests for information.
• Screen calls, schedule appointments, and take messages as needed.
• Act as liaison between ordering physician, radiologist, and technologist.
• Provide radiology reports/images upon request.
• Document information and communicate observations to the medical team.
