Qualifications

• High school diploma required; CPR cert within 60 days of employment.
• Strong verbal and written English, plus public speaking ability.
• Ability to interact professionally with others and work under pressure.
• Experience with healthcare scheduling and basic insurance concepts.
• Proficient computer skills and data entry accuracy.
• Willingness to participate in ongoing professional development.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient insurance and benefits for deductible, copays, and network status.
• Call primary/secondary insurers and update front desk and staff as needed.
• Ensure accurate data entry in the admitting/registration system and preregistration packets.
• Assist with daily cash handling and posting payments to patient accounts.
• Support billing and collections processes and maintain patient records.
• Prepare for closing procedures and assist with daily office logistics.
