Job summary

Conemaugh Meyersdale Medical Center, part of Lifepoint Health, seeks a PRN Imaging Assistant to support radiology teams by preparing patients and equipment, assisting with exams, and ensuring patient safety. The role involves rotating on-call coverage, weekends, and holidays.

You will work under technologist supervision, assisting with positioning, transporting patients, and maintaining imaging workflow while upholding radiation safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled or graduate of radiography, sonography, or nuclear medicine tech programs with accreditation.
• Ability to follow Radiation safety standards and protocols.
• CPR certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily equipment inspections and warm-up procedures under supervision of a Technologist.
• Assist Radiologist and Technologist in setting up contrast, but do not load or prime injector.
• Obtain quality images while following safety standards.
• Assist with positioning and performing exams under supervision.
• Enter and track patient data in Radiology Information Systems.
• Maintain competency in completed procedures and equipment skills.
• Follow safety procedures and report unsafe practices.
