Job summary

Southcoast Health is seeking an Imaging Assistant I for Per Diem shifts at Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River, MA. The role involves patient transport, prepping for imaging, and helping with exams under radiology supervision.

Qualifications include a high school diploma, basic computer skills, medical terminology knowledge, and CPR certification within 3 months. Some related experience is preferred and a comprehensive benefits package is offered.

• Basic knowledge of medical terminology required.
• Knowledge of office equipment and basic knowledge of patient care equipment is required.

• One year of related work experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care including patient transport, obtaining medical histories, preparing patients for exams, assisting patients on and off the imaging table and performing modality-specific duties as assigned.
• Assist with patient exams and explain any delays in procedures.
• Process requisitions/paperwork, review schedules and assist with retrieval of outside images.
• Control inventory and maintain adequate levels of supplies.
• Assist with special projects such as Quality Assurance, Education, etc.

**Available to regular status employees who are scheduled to work a minimum of 24 hours.

• Knowledge of office equipment and basic knowledge of patient care equipment is required.

• Compensation: Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience.
