Job summary

ZEISS is seeking a qualified specialist to develop solution algorithms for semiconductor fabrication using classical image processing and machine learning methods. You will build understanding of manufacturing processes, translate customer analytics needs into prototypes, and deliver impactful solutions at ZEISS customer sites.

The role requires 1–2 years of ML algorithm experience, strong image processing expertise, and the ability to engage customers in an interactive requirements-gathering

Qualifications

• Master’s or PhD in computer science or related field.
• 1–2 years designing ML algorithms for image processing.
• Experience with neural networks for detection, classification, segmentation.
• Experience with SVMs and image processing concepts like registration and contour extraction.
• Ability to understand, maintain, and optimize existing code.

Responsibilities

• Develop solution algorithms for semiconductor fabrication using ML and image processing.
• Build understanding of manufacturing processes, customer challenges and market needs.
• Translate analytics needs into prototypes and test/optimize solutions.
• Communicate findings to customers and assess prototype capabilities.
