Job summary

GE HealthCare seeks an Image Quality Intern in Salt Lake City to work with senior engineers on image quality design solutions for surgery imaging products. You will refine image processing algorithms and participate in data collection and evaluation labs, gaining hands-on experience across cross-functional teams.

Eligible students pursuing EE/BE/Physics with a 3.0 GPA or higher are encouraged to apply. The role requires relocation to Salt Lake City for a 10‑week summer period and US work

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Life Sciences, or closely related discipline.
• GPA: 3.0 (based on a 4.0 scale).
• Returning to school Fall 2027.
• Can relocate to Salt Lake City, UT to work a minimum of 10 weeks full‑time over the summer.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States is required.

Responsibilities

• Refine and tune image processing algorithms to improve image contrast, clarity, and detail.
• Participate in labs to collect data for algorithm evaluation.
• Survey image quality scientists and clinical imaging specialists for feedback on results.
• Document design with technical rigor.
• Present image quality results to team management.
• Assist in specification, design, verification, and validation of features related to X-ray exposure control, image processing, and visualization.
• Seek mentoring to learn and solve problems.
