Job summary

GE HealthCare Internship program invites an Engineering Intern to work with senior engineers on software components for Surgery Imaging products. You will contribute to design, development, testing, and integration across the product life cycle.

The role emphasizes collaboration with cross-functional teams, documentation, and code reviews, while supporting automated testing and subsystem verification. Strong academic progress and a 3.0+ GPA are expected.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, or equivalent major.
• Sophomore year minimum.
• GPA: 3.0.

Responsibilities

• Assist in design and implementation of automated test frameworks to identify issues and regressions with sub-components used in Surgery imaging systems
• Triage software defects (with guidance of senior engineers) to identify root cause and implement solutions
• Verification and Validation of software design and requirements, including supporting engineering builds and testing
• Reliability analysis of components and systems
• Participate in peer code reviews
• Prepare documentation to capture software designs and requirements
