Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC is hiring an Area Manager in Illinois/Markham to lead a team of hourly associates across first, middle, and last mile operations. You will mentor staff, ensure safety, quality, and delivery performance, and coordinate with Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, and HR to achieve business goals.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of people management experience, a Bachelor's degree (or 2+ years at Amazon), and flexibility to work weekends, nights, and holidays.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of employee and performance management experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience.
• Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
• Experience with process improvements (Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support, mentor, and motivate your hourly workforce.
• Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises.
• Collaborate with Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, HR to meet business objectives.
• Lift up to 49 pounds and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach.
• Stand/walk for up to 12 hours during shifts.
• Work in environments with variable noise and temperatures.
