Job summary

Halliburton in Houston is seeking a reliability engineer to lead growth of IIoT and connected‑maintenance product lines. You will read drawings, analyze failure mechanisms, build and test prototypes, and translate findings into a practical development roadmap.

You will work in an agile team, with hands‑on lab and field testing, selecting sensors, writing specs, and developing health scoring to detect failures early while preventing downtime.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering (or closely related field).
• 5+ years in reliability, maintenance, failure analysis, test, or equipment/instrumentation engineering.
• Working understanding of mechanical and electronic failure mechanisms and how they progress.
• Hands‑on experience running FMEA / FMECA and root‑cause analysis on physical equipment.
• Practical knowledge of sensors for process and equipment measurement in industrial environments.

Responsibilities

• Understand the equipment, systems, and process.
• Investigate failures and determine root cause.
• Research detection technology and select sensors.
• Build prototypes, run pilots and PoCs.
• Integrate with the IIoT product and shape the roadmap.
• Organize failure data and build a standardized failure database.
• Drive KPIs, deployment, and stakeholder engagement.
• Build business cases and lifecycle / cost reporting.
