Job summary

You will fabricate prototypes from drawings, conduct functional and reliability tests with ground support equipment, document results, and support continuous improvement efforts in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Must be able to access shared database with government programs and NASA facilities required to support testing activities (i.e., U.S. Citizen or U.S. Person).
• Requires high school diploma or trade school certification.
• 3+ years of relevant technical, manufacturing, testing, or engineering support experience.
• Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, testing equipment, and GSE.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with peers, cross-functional teams, and external customers.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Proven ability to gather, document, analyze, and report technical information.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate and promote compliance with all company safety policies, procedures, and standards.
• Assist engineers with analysis, testing, troubleshooting, and support of machines, tools, equipment, and mechanical systems.
• Repair, rework, or modify mechanical assemblies to ensure compliance with tolerances.
• Fabricate and assemble mechanical prototypes from drawings and schematics.
• Conduct functional, operational, structural, leakage, and reliability testing of prototype and production units using required GSE.
• Collect, analyze, document, and report test data and anomalies found.
• Support root cause investigations, corrective actions, and failure analysis activities.
• Maintain accurate documentation and reports related to testing and product evaluations.
