Job summary

RBC is seeking an Application Engineer to drive technical support and optimization for customers in manufacturing. You will lead projects, work with design teams, and apply engineering knowledge to improve performance and customer satisfaction.

You will travel 15–20% to meet clients and support installations, while leveraging 3D/2D CAD tools and MS Office to deliver clear technical guidance and documented recommendations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering or a related field.
• 0–3 years of engineering, manufacturing, or related technical experience.
• Proficiency with MS Office and 3D/2D drafting software.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Good ownership, attention to detail, and ability to multi‑task.

Responsibilities

• Provide product and application‑based technical customer service via phone, email, and chat.
• Offer technical expertise with product selection and installation support, proposing creative solutions.
• Collaborate with product designers to ensure model and drawing accuracy.
• Occasionally travel on-site to provide customer service, training, installation support, and diagnosis.
• Partner with manufacturing, supply chain, R&D, quality, and other functions.
• Create new part numbers and establish or maintain BOMs.
• Lead cost reduction and lean/continuous improvement projects, including lab testing and qualification.
