Job summary

RBC Bearings is seeking a Senior Applications Developer to maintain and optimize enterprise applications and ERP systems across the manufacturing operations. You will work with business stakeholders and IT teams to deliver enhancements, ensure system stability, and support 24/7 production environments.

The role requires hands-on iSeries/AS400 development, RPGLE/CLLE expertise, strong SQL skills, and experience with ERP integrations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in CS/IT or related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on iSeries/AS400 development experience.
• Strong proficiency with RPGLE and CLLE development.
• Advanced experience with database management systems and data analysis.
• Proven ability to write, optimize, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries.
• Experience with Windows Server environments (2012+).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel/Access/Word/PowerPoint).
• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, documentation, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert-level support, troubleshooting, and training to business users across ERP applications.
• Partner with stakeholders to identify, analyze, and resolve application issues.
• Design, develop, test, and implement ERP enhancements and modifications.
• Coordinate support requests through IT service management processes.
• Collaborate with vendors and cross-functional teams to address technical challenges.
• Document changes and troubleshoot in accordance with Change Management.
• Develop and execute SQL queries, reports, and data extracts for operations and audits.
• Maintain thorough documentation of troubleshooting activities and resolutions.
