Job summary
Proconex is seeking a Systems Engineer with Ignition SCADA expertise to support and enhance manufacturing automation solutions for our clients in regulated environments.
You will design, develop, and integrate HMI/SCADA apps, connect PLCs and historians, and collaborate with operations, IT, and quality teams to improve reliability and efficiency. This is a hands-on, customer-facing role with opportunities to contribute across the project lifecycle.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, CS, Automation, or a related technical discipline.
- 2+ years of industrial automation experience.
- 3+ years Ignition SCADA development and support.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, implement, and maintain Ignition HMI/SCADA apps and automation solutions.
- Integrate Ignition with PLCs, historians, databases, and MES/ERP interfaces.
- Configure industrial networks and protocols (OPC-UA, MQTT, Modbus, Ethernet/IP).
- Develop dashboards and visualizations to support manufacturing decisions.
- Troubleshoot PLCs, SCADA, databases, networks, and integrations to minimize downtime.
- Support system upgrades, migrations, and lifecycle activities.
- Participate in projects from requirements through testing and commissioning.
- Collaborate with operations, IT, quality, and maintenance teams on deliverables.
