Job summary

Proconex is seeking a Systems Engineer with Ignition SCADA expertise to support, develop, and enhance manufacturing automation solutions across regulated environments. You will collaborate with operations, engineering, IT, and quality teams to deliver reliable automation and data-driven improvements.

The role focuses on system design, troubleshooting, and ongoing support for manufacturing customers, with emphasis on project execution from requirements through startup.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical discipline with 2+ years in automation.
• 3+ years in Ignition SCADA development and support.
• 3+ years integrating PLCs (Rockwell, Siemens, Schneider).
• 2+ years SQL/database data integration and troubleshooting.
• Strong written and verbal communication in a customer-facing role.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, implement, and maintain Ignition HMI/SCADA apps.
• Integrate Ignition with PLCs, historians, databases, and OT systems.
• Configure networks and protocols: OPC-UA, MQTT, Modbus, Ethernet/IP.
• Develop dashboards and visualizations for operations.
• Troubleshoot PLCs, SCADA, databases, networks, and integrations.
• Support upgrades, migrations, deployments, and lifecycle management.
• Participate from requirements to startup in projects.
• Create and maintain technical docs and testing records.
• Provide training and knowledge transfer to customers.
