Job summary

Markent Personnel, Inc. is seeking a SCADA Engineer to support OT equipment across gas, solar and wind assets.

You will collaborate with site managers and cross-functional teams to maintain reliability of control and data systems, develop data flows, alarms, and insights from Ignition and AVEA PI. The role requires strong scripting (Python), experience with Ignition, RTU, OPC servers, and a solid understanding of power generation technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree; 3–6 years of OT/SCADA experience.
• Expert in Inductive Automation Ignition and AVEA PI.
• Experience with renewable and gas power systems.
• Proficient in Python scripting.
• Ignition certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain Ignition SCADA system components (Gateways, screens, alarms, historian).
• Manage OT SCADA equipment including servers and configurations.
• Develop data flows and displays in Ignition Perspective for analytics and visualization.
• Troubleshoot connections between OT equipment (RTUs, gateways, data loggers) and SCADA servers.
• Coordinate with IT for plant operations and ensure asset compliance.
