Job summary

KLA Industries, Inc. in Denver, CO seeks a SCADA Engineer to support OT data flows, Ignition SCADA systems, and analytics across gas, solar and wind assets. You will work with site managers, engineering, and operations to ensure reliability of control and data systems.

The role requires experience with Ignition, AVEA PI, and renewable/gas power systems, plus strong analytical and scripting skills. On-site position with cross-functional collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 3–6 years of experience; degree may be substituted.
• Expert in Ignition and AVEA PI mandatory.
• Experience with Renewable and Gas power systems.
• Familiar with OT equipment: SCADA, RTU, PI historians, OPC, Modbus.
• Ignition certification preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Experience with Python scripting.
• Knowledge of power plant components and renewable projects.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking.
• Self-starter with independent decision making.
• Excellent time management and multitasking.
• Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain Ignition SCADA System, including gateways, new screens, alarms, historian and integration.
• Manage OT SCADA equipment, including servers and point configurations and ensure systems are up to date.
• Develop data flows and displays in Ignition Perspective for analytics and visualization of Operational Data.
• Troubleshoot and maintain connections between OT equipment (RTUs, gateways, data loggers).
• Maintain data connections between ROCC, corporate data servers and OEM SCADA/OPC servers.
• Coordinate with IT as primary point of contact for plant operations.
• Provide NERC CIP guidance to ensure assets are in compliance.
• Support SCADA lifecycle refresh and internal AI initiatives.
