The Northampton Public Schools is seeking Part-Time staff to join the “IGNITE” After School Program!
The program offers extended-day childcare in all four elementary schools for students in Grades K-5. The program provides quality, affordable childcare services with enrichment opportunities and runs daily Monday through Friday from 2:15 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. The program aims to provide a safe and nurturing environment where children feel heard and empowered to be themselves. Our staff engage students in meaningful interactions with peers and model positive communication. We believe that ample physical and mental activity, creative outlets, as well as unstructured playtime are key to building a positive after school community, and that enrichment opportunities and social emotional work support intellectual growth. We prioritize building relationships with individual students and caregivers, and we take a restorative approach to conflict resolution.
The staff is responsible for leading games, art projects, and activities with the children, while monitoring the safety of all students in the program. We work with our staff to find your interests, and help you develop and lead activities that you enjoy!
