The IGIV-C Technician is responsible for the isolation of IgG by processing plasma intermediate paste and performing fundamental tasks within a GMP environment, including cleaning and maintaining the workplace, assembling/disassembling equipment, assisting with process control, and maintaining records/logs.

TECH I:
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Performs general housekeeping in compliance with pharmaceutical standards.
  • Assists in preparing solutions and dispensing cleaning reagents.
  • Safeguards facilities, equipment, and product safety.
  • Assembles/disassembles production equipment.
  • Operates production equipment and fork trucks safely.
  • Operates CIP circuits and monitors processes via DCS.
  • Documents production in real-time and maintains logs.
  • Performs integrity tests on sterile filters.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Buffer Preparation: Prepare filter aid, install filters, unload chemical tankers, initiate chemical circulation, monitor solutions.
  • Zone 1 Activities: Stage paste, calibrate pH probes, prepare equipment, harvest filter cake.
  • Zone 2 Activities: Prepare sterile filters, sample bulks, assist in sterile bulk preparation, deliver bulks, sterilize tanks.
  • Zone 2 Purification: Assist in column regeneration, testing, packing, and system cleaning; formulate sterile bulks; calibrate pH/conductivity probes; install filters.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Basic math and computer skills, mechanical aptitude, detail-oriented, team-oriented, good judgment.

Requirements:

High school diploma or GED.

TECH II:
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Conducts GMP and Safety Audits.
  • Prepares and operates production equipment.
  • Troubleshoots process and equipment issues.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Buffer Preparation: Prepare solutions, install filters, unload chemicals, test solutions, monitor circulation.
  • Zone 1: Stage and calibrate pH probes, prepare paste.
  • Zone 2: Prepare bulks, sterilize, and test.
  • Column Processing: Load, evaluate, and pack chromatography columns.
  • UF/DF Processing: Clean, evaluate, monitor, assist in formulation, calibrate probes, install filters, and operate UF systems.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Same as Tech I.

Requirements:

Minimum 12 months as Technician, positive performance review, demonstrated competence in process areas, proficiency in at least 2 process areas, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work rotating shifts, and comply with vaccination requirements.

Occupational Demands:

Physical activity includes lifting, standing, walking, bending, and working with PPE in a manufacturing environment with biological and chemical exposure, noise, and extreme temperatures. Entry into confined spaces and working at heights may be required. Good vision, hearing, communication, and routine task performance are essential.
