Position Overview

The IGIV-C Technician is responsible for the isolation of IgG by processing plasma intermediate paste and performing fundamental tasks within a GMP environment, including cleaning and maintaining the workplace, assembling/disassembling operating equipment per procedures, assisting with process control manipulations, and maintaining records/logs.

Technician Levels
TECH I:
Primary Responsibilities:
  1. Perform general housekeeping to meet pharmaceutical standards.
  2. Assist in preparing solutions and dispense cleaning reagents.
  3. Safeguard facilities, equipment, and product, and assemble/disassemble production equipment.
  4. Operate production equipment and fork trucks safely.
  5. Operate CIP circuits and monitor processes using DCS.
  6. Document production in real-time and maintain logs.
  7. Perform integrity tests on sterile filters.
Additional Responsibilities:

Include buffer preparation, zone-specific activities, sterile processing, and purification processing tasks, such as preparing filters, calibrating probes, and assisting in system cleaning and testing.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Basic math and computer skills, mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, teamwork, and good judgment.

Requirements:

High school diploma or GED.

TECH II:
Primary Responsibilities:
  1. Perform GMP and safety audits.
  2. Operate production equipment to standards.
  3. Troubleshoot process and equipment issues.
Additional Responsibilities:

Similar to TECH I with added tasks like preparing buffer solutions, calibrating probes, and assisting with column processing and UF/DF processing.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Same as TECH I, with the addition of demonstrated competence and proficiency in process areas for advancement.

Requirements:

Minimum 12 months experience as a Technician in the department, good performance ratings, and proficiency in process areas. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, work rotating shifts, and wear PPE. Exposure to biological fluids, chemicals, and machinery is expected, with necessary safety precautions.

Additional Notes

Work environment involves standing, walking, bending, and occasional entry into confined spaces. Communication skills are essential.
