Job summary

Guardian Life in New York is seeking a Manager, Identity Governance Operations to lead the Identity Governance & Administration (IGA) team, directing lifecycle governance, access reviews, SoD, RBAC, provisioning controls, and governance analytics.

You will collaborate with IAM Engineering, Cybersecurity, HR, Legal, and Compliance to advance automation, AI capabilities, and governance of both human and non-human identities while upholding regulatory controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science, information security, IT, or a related field.
• 5+ years in IAM, IGA, cybersecurity, or related tech/security roles.
• Proven people leadership including coaching and performance management.
• Strong experience with identity lifecycle management, access governance, RBAC, SoD, provisioning/deprovisioning.
• Experience with SailPoint, CyberArk, Entra ID, Okta or similar IAM/IGA tools.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and risk-based access governance.
• Comfort with automation, APIs, REST/JSON, and scripting.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop the IGA team with performance management and accountability.
• Oversee core IGA processes: Joiner/Mover/Leaver, access reviews, SoD, RBAC, provisioning.
• Provide oversight of controls, audit evidence, and regulatory requirements.
• Develop reporting and analytics to identify risks and improvement opportunities.
• Translate business requirements into scalable identity governance solutions.
• Drive automation and improve user experience with process simplification.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to govern non-human identities and AI agents.
• Support vendor evaluations, RFPs/RFIs, and strategic IGA initiatives.
• Communicate performance, risks, and priorities to senior leaders.
