Job summary

The Howard County Public School System (HCPSS) is seeking a Program Assistant to support the IEP team across multiple schools. The role involves maintaining confidential student records, coordinating meetings, and communicating with families and central office staff.

Itinerant responsibilities include data preparation, scheduling, and helping case managers with IEP implementation while using the electronic IEP system and related tools.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• One year of general clerical/administrative support experience.
• One year of data collection and management experience (Google Forms/Sheets, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Maintain confidential student records in compliance with regulations.
• Disseminate IEP paperwork to stakeholders and assist scheduling.
• Create data binders/sheets and support scheduling issues.
• Schedule IEP meetings and related IEP activities.
• Use the electronic IEP system and other relevant systems to support the team.
• Communicate with parents about meeting documents.
• Attend training on special education processes and related areas.
