Job summary

The Howard County Public School System (HCPSS) is seeking a Program Assistant to support Birth through Five IFSP/IEP processes. You will work with administrators and leaders to manage confidential records, schedule meetings, and communicate with schools and central office staff, while handling data preparation and parent follow-up.

This itinerant role includes mileage reimbursement. Applicants should understand IDEA Part C/B, Medicaid billing, and FERPA/HIPAA privacy rules, and be able to use

Qualifications

• Understanding of IFSP/IEP processes for Birth through Five.
• Knowledge of Medicaid billing processes and compliance in education.
• Familiar with FERPA and HIPAA privacy guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Maintains confidential records for Birth through Five and special education services.
• Provides customer service and technical guidance to central office staff, school staff, MSDE, and families.
• Implements and suggests improvements to office processes to increase efficiency.
• Supports IFSP/IEP teams as needed.
• Attends initial and ongoing training related to special education processes and MA billing.
