Temple ISD is seeking an organized and people-oriented secretary to support special education staff. The role involves scheduling IEP meetings, maintaining records, and providing assistance to educational professionals. Ideal candidates will possess strong clerical skills and at least three years of relevant experience, with proficiency in office software.
SUMMARY:
Duties include all secretarial skills, must be people-oriented because of dealing with special education teachers, Assessment and Speech staff, related service and other staff. Must be willing to be flexible in helping with other duties required of the department. Strong organizational and time management skills are required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCEHigh school graduate or equivalent and 3 years clerical/school experience. College hours preferred.
SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE/SKILLSAbility to use personal computer and software to develop spreadsheets and databases, and do word processing. Proficient typing, keyboarding, file maintenance, and 10-key skills. Ability to meet established deadlines.
REASONING ABILITIESAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
