This position supports teachers by assisting with the academic, social, and behavioral needs of assigned clients. You will help implement basic educational programming and perform duties as directed by the building administrator or classroom teacher, including individual tutoring or one-on-one support for students with special needs.

The Brandywine School in West Chester, PA, provides education to children at all grade levels using a multi-sensory approach, combining traditional instruction, hands-on learning, independent learning, and technology to individualize student progress. The school emphasizes transition skills from school to career, with a focus on students' success after graduation. Devereux’s private schools offer innovative special education programs that collaborate with families and districts to prepare students for future success. Students may attend as day students or residential treatment residents, each with an Individualized Educational Plan (IEP) tailored to their goals.
Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma required; an Associate’s Degree or two years of post-secondary education from an accredited college or university is preferred.
Experience: Prior experience in a special education or behavioral healthcare setting with students exhibiting severe or complex behavioral/emotional issues is preferred.
Devereux maintains a zero-tolerance policy for abuse and promotes a culture of reporting abuse, cooperating fully with authorities.
