Specialized Education Services, Inc. is seeking an IEP Specialist to work with the Director and resource team, coordinating and evaluating educational programs. The role includes onboarding new staff, mentoring classroom staff, and collaborating with departments to implement educational programs.

The position emphasizes data-driven planning, IEP coordination, and ensuring ISBE compliance while supporting students with academic, emotional, social, and behavioral needs.

Qualifications

• Current SPED Teaching license or Principal License.
• Experience in school settings with similar population.
• Coaching experience with staff preferred.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
• Ability to record and analyze data using Excel and Google Drive.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, manage, assess needs and determine student assignment for special education programs.
• Assist Principal with recruiting, interviewing and onboarding new campus staff.
• Develop and implement transition planning and services/Indicator 13.
• Maintain IEP database and student file scan database.
• Prepare and attend students’ IEP meetings and ensure documentation compliance.
• Plan and deliver staff and parent education related to special education programs.
• Maintain relationships with school district, parents and community.
• Provide and monitor crisis intervention at the school.
• Organize and deliver training for professional development and staff meetings.
• Participate in Education Committee meetings and relay information to the resource team.
