Job summary

Allstate is seeking a Lead Consultant to deliver enterprise-wide product features using in-house and vendor software, with emphasis on web services and Identity-related initiatives. The role requires navigating roadmaps, supporting governance, and aligning with business processes across multiple teams.

The position involves designing technical and functional solutions, guiding teammates, and contributing to audits and capacity planning while ensuring high performance and resiliency.

Qualifications

• 5 or more years of developer experience (preferred).
• Experience designing or operating security controls embedded into CI/CD pipelines, developer workflows, or shared platform services.
• Java experience (preferred).
• Python experience (desirable).
• Experience of formulating and executing AD PowerShell Scripts.
• Effective communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to assess complex situations and provide actionable solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop overall product planning by contributing to stories for complex features and guiding other team members.
• Organize and finalize feature review sessions for complex business issues and document decisions.
• Create functional designs addressing complex business processes or features.
• Configure or develop within vendor and in-house software and verify new features.
• Evaluate proposed software products against strategic direction.
• Support module and integration testing for most projects.
• Manage issues and blockers for assigned features and stories.
• Troubleshoot access related issues to minimize business disruption.
• Collaborate with Product/Service teams to deliver Identity solutions meeting targets.
• Participate in Identity Roadmaps and leadership review sessions.
• Contribute to audits/compliance with documentation and controls.
