Job summary

Everforth Apex is seeking a Software Engineer for Identity & Security Platforms in Austin, TX. Hybrid work enables collaboration with product, security, and platform teams to deliver secure authentication journeys and scalable web applications.

You will own complex features, design secure flows, and leverage AI-assisted workflows across the SDLC while mentoring peers and ensuring high test coverage, observability, and release readiness.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in enterprise app development using Java/JavaScript.
• Experience with Spring Boot and gateway patterns.
• Experience with CI/CD tooling and code security.
• Familiar with OAuth, SAML, JWT and modern auth concepts.

Responsibilities

• Own design, development, testing, and support for complex components and secure authentication journeys.
• Collaborate with product, architecture, and engineering teams to decompose features and meet sprint commitments.
• Build and consume REST APIs; implement gateway patterns and reusable services.
• Maintain strong automated testing, CI/CD, code quality, security scanning, observability, and release readiness.
• Mentor engineers through code reviews and design discussions.
• Leverage AI-assisted tooling while ensuring correctness and security.
