Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a senior frontend/full-stack engineer to join the Identity & Security team. You will design and build login, registration, and account-security experiences across web and mobile, including an in-house AI facial recognition solution for KYC verification and liveness detection.

You will own end-to-end authentication flows, collaborate with AI/algorithm teams, and help scale security services for hundreds of millions of users.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent industry experience.
• 3–8 years of frontend or full stack engineering experience with consumer-facing products.
• Strong web fundamentals: HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, browser rendering, networking, caching, and performance optimization.
• Deep proficiency in React 18+ and TypeScript, with solid command of state management and multi-step flows.
• Production Node.js experience: SSR or isomorphic apps, BFF layering, API aggregation and caching, debugging server-side issues.
• Experience modeling complex authentication/verification flows and creating reusable components.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools and performance instrumentation.
• Proficient with CI/CD pipelines and secure code practices.
• Fluency in English; Mandarin language skills advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain login, registration, and account security applications across web and mobile clients.
• Build in-house AI facial recognition security product end to end for KYC verification and liveness detection.
• Develop authentication capabilities including passkeys, WebAuthn, MFA, and biometric flows.
• Own the MFA orchestration layer with secure yet user-friendly verification flows.
• Collaborate with AI algorithm teams to integrate facial recognition capabilities into frontend and backend services.
• Maintain and evolve shared security components, libraries, and SDKs used across products.
• Develop and operate the Node.js server-side layer including SSR, routing, and performance optimizations.
• Build and refine the BFF layer to translate backend services into frontend-ready results.
• Implement platform-specific behavior while keeping code clean and modular.
• Drive engineering quality through tests, observability, and deployment pipelines.
• Use analytics to improve login and verification flows based on data.
