Job summary

Millennium Management seeks an Identity Security Engineer to lead security consulting and engineering for Microsoft identity platforms across on-premises and cloud environments. You will define authentication direction, assess risks, and govern identity policies with senior stakeholders.

You will drive the identity security roadmap, oversee incident response workstreams, and mentor junior engineers while aligning with Business and Compliance teams.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in a technical role with 5+ years in information security.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS, Engineering, or related field.
• Strong experience engineering Microsoft security solutions across Windows and server OS, including Entra ID and AD.
• Experience with IaaS and SaaS through CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of modern authentication protocols and identity security controls.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 security controls including Entra ID, Conditional Access, and Foundry.
• Experience implementing data loss prevention and Azure Information Protection.
• Familiarity with EDR, SIEM and security certifications is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead security consulting and engineering for identity platforms across on-premises and cloud environments.
• Define authentication platform direction and drive identity workstreams during incidents.
• Serve as technical authority on SAML, OpenID Connect, OAuth 2.0, Kerberos, and SSO.
• Assess identity risks and communicate remediation plans to stakeholders.
• Develop the identity security roadmap by evaluating emerging technologies and trends.
• Lead identity-related workstreams during security incidents and post-incident hardening.
• Partner with senior stakeholders to define and enforce identity policies.
• Establish production readiness, documentation, and operational standards while mentoring engineers.
