Job summary

Frontline Education seeks a Principal Engineer to lead the Identity Platform (Morpheus) engineering pod, delivering secure, cloud-native IAM for a multi-tenant SaaS ecosystem. You will provide technical leadership, architecture guidance, and hands-on development across frontend and backend services using TypeScript, NestJS, and React.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS or related field.
• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proven experience leading technical execution for engineering teams or pods.
• Strong experience designing and building distributed cloud-native systems.
• Deep understanding of IAM concepts including OAuth2, OIDC, and token-based security.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript, Node.js, NestJS, and React.
• Experience designing APIs and microservices in a multi-tenant SaaS environment.
• Experience with AWS cloud-native development (Lambda, S3, SNS/SQS).
• Experience with Docker, PostgreSQL/Aurora PostgreSQL, EKS, and graph data modeling.
• Familiarity with Kafka and event-driven architectures.
• Experience operating within Agile/Scrum delivery models.
• Strong communication and mentoring abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical execution for Identity Platform capabilities.
• Provide day-to-day technical leadership and mentorship to engineers.
• Drive decomposition, solution strategy, design reviews, and delivery coordination.
• Collaborate with PMs and platform architects to align with standards and strategy.
• Promote maintainability, security, observability, and operational excellence.
• Mentor engineers through design discussions and code reviews.
