OpenAI, Inc. is seeking a hands-on software engineer to design and build high-scale, secure access proxies and the distributed systems behind them.

You will work at the intersection of networking, distributed systems, and infrastructure security, building serving paths and control-plane integrations that connect identities to resources. Teleport is central to the platform, with credential brokers and policy enforcement also in scope.

Qualificações

• Experience designing and building production backend services with a focus on scale and reliability.
• Strong background in distributed systems, networking, and security concepts.
• Proficiency in at least one modern language (Go, Rust, Python) and willingness to work across languages.
• Ability to reason about latency, throughput, and failure modes in multi-region deployments.

Responsabilidades

• Design and implement secure access proxies, gateways, and credential brokers for infrastructure access.
• Integrate identity and access policy across clients, proxies, and target systems.
• Build observability to explain end-to-end access paths, latency, and errors without exposing credentials.
• Engineer safe multi-region rollouts, canaries, rollback, and recovery with realistic tests.
• Maintain reliable, high-performance core access services and lead incident recovery.
• Lead migrations and provide self-service tooling to simplify adoption across teams.
