Job summary

Innova Solutions is seeking an Identity and Biometric Solutions Technical Lead in Austin, TX. This full-time contracted role involves leading the engineering effort for our identity solutions in a hybrid environment.

You will oversee architecture feasibility, organize engineering work, and review key deliverables while engaging with customers in technical discussions. 8+ years of software experience and strong leadership are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent; 8+ years of software engineering experience.
• Leadership experience guiding engineering teams and projects.
• Strong architecture and technical writing skills.
• Experience with Confluence, Jira, and customer-focused delivery.
• High communication and collaboration with stakeholders.
• AWS cloud experience is a plus.

Identity and Biometric Solutions Technical Lead

Position type: Full-time, Contract Duration: 06 Months, Location: Austin, TX (Hybrid)

Responsibilities

• Be the primary technical leader for the engineering part of our offers.
• Ensure the feasibility of the solution in term of architecture and technology maturity with respect to the contractual requirements, the consistency of the solution with product policy within target cost, schedule, and customer various constraints.
• Participate in the elaboration of the Work Breakdown Structure to identify work packages and organize engineering activities.
• Approve the main BID/project engineering reviews and deliverables.
• Support Customer demo/workshop in terms of presentation and technical discussions.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field (or foreign equivalent) or equivalent experience.
• Over 8 years of software engineering experience with in-depth knowledge of engineering practices and processes.
• Proven engineering leadership experience with a pragmatic approach to team decision-making.
• Strong technical background, capable of collaborating with architects to design optimal solutions within project constraints.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a talent for leading teams and fostering collaboration to deliver effective solutions.
• Experience managing multiple projects, leading workshops with stakeholders to clarify requirements and project scope, coupled with proficiency in project tracking tools (Confluence, Jira).
• Strong analytical abilities and a logical, pragmatic approach to problem-solving, supporting the team to find cost-effective solutions.
• Self-starter with excellent technical writing skills, capable of influencing both technical and non-technical decisions while accurately estimating and contributing to project technical plans.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• This person is combination of someone who is part of the implementation of the whole solution (Not coding).
• Does not manage anyone directly.
• Indirectly responsible for solutions through working with the teams to provide customer needs.
• Not an architect but should help define solutions
• Not looking for PMs, IT or Infrastructure
• Not a PM, but will assist PMs on the technical aspects
• Ensure solution implementation and process is accurate at customer site.
• Provide estimates and proposed solutions to customer.
• Will write solutions level requirements
• Some leadership experience (project leadership is fine)
• Cloud experience (AWS Cloud is a plus)
• Java & .Net, API, knowledge of databases, Jira/Confluence good experience to have.
• A good combo is development & solutions
• Soft skills are a must. They need to be able to provide strong customer service.

Pay Range and Benefits

Pay Range*: $70/h - $72/h
