Job Summary:
This role is responsible for leading teams in building a centralIdentity and Access Management (IAM) framework to enable anintegrated experience across the College’s systems and platforms.This position works closely with the Information Security team toreview, improve, maintain the overall security program, and managecompliance with the College’s information management and securitystrategies and policies.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Essential Performance Requirements*
- Ensures appropriate user access to systems, applications, anddata based on role, at the appropriate time and in accordance withestablished security and compliance standards
- Transitions current group and individual-based security andaccess controls to Role-Based Access Controls (RBAC)
- Designs, develops, and validates IAM interfaces toapplications
- Manages service delivery performance for the Identity and AccessManagement lifecycle
- Manages manual user access provisioning and deprovisioningprocesses in accordance with established policies andprocedures
- Ensures the quality and integrity of critical access controls inalignment with established security and compliance standards
- Collaborates with the broader IT team to implement loggedelevated access controls for all IT administrative functions
- Aligns Information Security policies, standards, and standardoperating procedures (SOPs) with the strategic IAM vision
- Works with the security team to assist in any compliance orforensic investigations
- Provides a periodic review of external service provider to ensureIAM services are following industry best practices
General Supervision and Management
- Oversees daily work activities, provides training and guidance,monitors performance, and ensures work is completed accurately andefficiently
- Performs advanced or more complex functional work alongside staffwhile supporting departmental operations and service delivery
- Provides direct day-to-day leadership and guidance to staff tosupport effective task completion and employee development
Service Excellence
- Attends the workplace regularly, reports to work punctually, andfollows a work schedule to keep up with the demands of theworksite
- Completes all required training and professional developmentsessions sponsored through the Tarrant County College (TCC)Institute
- Supports the mission, values, and 3 goals and 8 principles of theCollege
Supervision
Works under the general supervision of the assigned departmentleader
Performs Other Related Tasks as Required

Required Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree and five (5) years’ working experience relatedto the Essential Performance Requirements; or any equivalentcombination of education and work-related experience
- Two (2) years' working experience supervising (e.g., leadingpeople, processes, programs, or projects that included planning,execution, and monitoring of outcomes)
Preferred Qualifications:
- At least one (1) year’s working experience related to EnterpriseIdentity Management within the past ten (10) years
- At least one (1) year’s working experience within IT or anIdentity Access role in a higher education environment within thepast ten (10) years
- At least one (1) year’s working experience implementing RBAC inenterprise resource planning (ERP) platforms as well as Microsoft365 and Azure
- At least one (1) year’s working experience building IAM or CloudIAM programs from the ground up, including all aspects of people,process, and technology
- At least one (1) year’s working experience planning and leadinginternal and external teams, projects or processes
- At least one (1) year’s working experience implementing ITcontrols in alignment with Texas Department of InformationResources (DIR) guidelines and standards
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of IAM principles across cloud and on-premisesenterprise environments, including authentication and authorizationframeworks for external users and clients
- Skilled in leading, organizing, and prioritizing multipleconcurrent tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment, ensuringaccuracy while effectively managing time, resources, andstakeholder needs
- Skilled in the advanced application of Microsoft Excel, Word,Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Skilled in delivering high-quality customer service and buildingeffective interpersonal relationships, including strong listening,verbal, and written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of ateam in collaborative environments, engaging with individualsacross a range of technical skills levels
- Ability to think critically to effectively solve and communicateproblems in a fast-paced environment where the demands for work arevaried, and unpredictable in scope and volume
- Ability to coordinate assigned work and communicate effectivelywith faculty and staff to support campus and departmentaloperations
- Ability to maintain a high level of diplomacy and tact, ensuringconfidentiality and discretion with sensitive and confidentialinformation
