Job summary

The Chronicle Of Higher Education, Inc. is seeking an IT Systems Analyst for Human Resource Systems to own, administer, and support ERP applications across HR functions, coordinating with stakeholders, technical teams, vendors and partners to ensure reliable performance.

The role requires translating business needs into configuration, developing functional specifications, supporting testing and deployments, and contributing to ERP roadmaps and governance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and one year related to essential performance requirements; or equivalent
  • ERP knowledge and experience across discovery, design, configuration, and testing

Responsibilities

Job Summary

This role is responsible for the functional ownership,administration, and ongoing support of assigned Enterprise ResourcePlanning (ERP) applications. The position serves as the linkbetween business operations and enterprise technology,collaborating with institutional stakeholders, technical teams,vendors, and implementation partners to ensure ERP applications areeffectively maintained and support the College's operationalneeds.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  • Serves as the IT application owner and primary technical liaisonfor assigned ERP functional areas and modules, maintaining subjectmatter expert-level knowledge of application functionality,configuration, workflows, integrations, and system dependencieswhile partnering with functional departments to translate businessneeds into technology solutions
  • Analyzes business requirements and translates them into ERPapplication solutions; develops functional specifications forconfiguration, enhancements, integrations, ortechnical changeswhile evaluating delivered functionality, enterprise architecturestandards, ERP best practices, and downstream system impacts
  • Supports ERP configuration, system administration, workflows,business rules, validations, application setup, maintenance, andoperational effectiveness
  • Troubleshoots complex ERP application issues and coordinatesresolution with technical teams and vendors, determiningappropriate corrective actions involving configuration,development, vendor support, or business process changes
  • Collaborates with architects, developers, integration teams,Identity and Access Management, vendors, and implementationpartners to design, integrate, and secure reliable ERP solutionswhile evaluating impacts across connected systems
  • Serves as the IT functional lead for assigned ERP implementationworkstreams, including discovery, design, configuration, dataconversion, testing, deployment, and post-implementation supportactivities
  • Develops and executes functional and technical test scenarios forERP changes, upgrades, patches, integrations, and configurationupdates; supports user acceptance testing and validates deploymentreadiness in partnership with Quality Assurance and ReleaseManagement
  • Participates in ERP roadmap planning, upgrades, enhancements,vendor-delivered functionality reviews, and continuous improvementinitiatives to support evolving institutional needs
  • Collaborates with data teams to support data quality, datagovernance, data conversion, and ERP application data requirementsfor reporting, analytics, and operational decision-making
  • Manages relationships and communications with ERP vendorsregarding functionality, issues, enhancements, and best practices;maintains application documentation, configuration records,technical decisions, and support procedures

  • Participates on behalf of the College in external communityorganizations and associations as assigned to support the essentialperformance requirements
  • Attends the workplace regularly, reports to work punctually, andfollows a work schedule to keep up with the demands of theworksite
  • Completes all required training and professional developmentsessions sponsored through Tarrant County College (TCC)

Required Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree and one (1) years’ working experience relatedto the Essential Performance Requirements; or any equivalentcombination of education and work-related experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • At least one (1) years working experience supporting ERPimplementation workstreams across discovery, design, configuration,conversion, testing, deployment, and post-implementationsupport
  • At least one (1) years working experience working with ERPvendors, implementation partners, technical teams, andinstitutional stakeholders
  • At least one (1) years working experience defining functionalspecifications for configuration, enhancements, integrations, ortechnical changes
  • At least one (1) years working experience supporting dataquality, data governance, data conversion, and reporting
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Knowledge of enterprise applications and ERP systems, includingapplication configuration, workflows, system functionality,integrations, security, and data relationships
  • Knowledge of ERP implementation, upgrade, enhancement, testing,release, and operational support practices
  • Knowledge of enterprise architecture standards, technical designprinciples, and best practices for aligning ERP solutions withinstitutional objectives
  • Knowledge of application data requirements, data qualitypractices, reporting dependencies, and data governanceconcepts
  • Skilled in translating business processes and requirements intotechnical application solutions and functional specifications
  • Skilled in analyzing system behavior, troubleshooting complexapplication issues, and coordinating resolution with technicalteams and vendors
