Job summary

Circle is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead the identity and access platform at scale. You will set the technical direction for authentication, authorization, and agent identity, while growing and mentoring a team of backend and frontend engineers.

You will collaborate closely with Security, Product, Onboarding, Risk, and other groups to deliver secure, scalable identity solutions across Circle’s products.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of people-management experience in software engineering.
• Hands-on experience building identity, authentication, authorization, or access-control systems at scale.
• Ability to design and explain complex security-sensitive architecture.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical vision, architecture, and roadmap for Circle’s identity and access platform.
• Manage, coach, and grow a team of backend and frontend engineers; set expectations and hire well.
• Lead architectural reviews, code reviews, and incident responses; stay close to production systems.
• Partner with Security, Product, Onboarding, Risk, and other teams to integrate identity across products.
• Translate competing requests into a clear, prioritized roadmap with trade-off analysis.
