Job summary

Circle is seeking a hands-on engineering manager for its identity and access platform. You will set technical direction for authentication, authorization, and agent identity while leading a team of backend and frontend engineers in a security-minded environment.

You will partner with Security, Product, and risk teams to deliver scalable, auditable identity systems and guide architectural decisions for long-term platform evolution. This is a remote-friendly leadership role within Circle.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years managing software engineers, including hiring and performance management.
• Led a team through migration, re-platforming, or significant architectural changes.
• Hands-on experience building identity, authentication, authorization, or access-control systems at scale.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical vision, architecture, and roadmap for Circle’s identity and access platform.
• Manage and grow a team of backend and frontend engineers; set expectations and coach senior ICs.
• Lead designs, review critical code paths, and contribute to production incident response.
