The State Education Resource Center (SERC) seeks a full-time IDEA Educational Consultant in Waterbury, CT, to design, implement, and evaluate professional development for educators serving students with disabilities. The role emphasizes equity, collaboration with CSDE and LEAs, and program leadership.
The candidate will lead data-informed instruction, MTSS, and secondary transition initiatives while engaging diverse stakeholders.
Formación
- Master's degree in Special Education required; certification preferred.
- Experience with PPT processes and leadership training to support educators and administrators.
- Experience with MTSS and data-driven improvement planning.
- Strong knowledge of secondary transition and transition services for students with disabilities.
- Commitment to equity, inclusion, and culturally responsive practices.
Responsabilidades
- Build collaborative relationships with districts, CSDE, and community partners.
- Develop and implement professional learning programs for educators.
- Coordinate peer coaching, mentoring, and modeling to enhance practice.
- Assist in district- and school-level planning to improve outcomes for students with disabilities.
- Stay current on state and federal disability laws affecting education.
