Job summary

Qualifications

• Arizona Special Education Teacher Certification is required.
• Bachelor's degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
• Special education classroom teaching experience preferred.
• Mentoring or instructional coaching experience preferred.
• Knowledge of IDEA, IEP development, and special education compliance.

Responsibilities

• Provide specially designed instruction to students based on IEPs.
• Manage an assigned special education caseload with compliant IEPs.
• Facilitate IEP meetings and maintain required documentation.
• Monitor progress toward IEP goals and report outcomes.
• Collaborate with general education staff, families, and service providers.
• Coach teachers on IEP development, progress monitoring, and IDEA compliance.
• Model effective special education strategies and accommodations.
• Support district procedures and timelines for special education.
