Job summary

Mountain Shadows Ancillary Services Inc is seeking a Program Director for the New Beginnings Therapeutic Day Program in California. You will oversee operations, ensure person-centered services, and maintain regulatory compliance for individuals with IDD and behavioral health needs.

The role requires a degree in psychology, social work, or related field, plus 2+ years of supervisory experience in human-services settings and experience with crisis intervention practices. Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, or related human services field required.
• Minimum of two years of experience managing a human-services delivery system; experience in a licensed adult day program preferred.
• Must have at least two years of experience working with individuals with IDD and significant behavioral support needs.
• Experience providing staff training in crisis intervention techniques, preferably using the Pro-Act model, is preferred.
• Minimum of two years of progressive supervisory and management experience required.

Responsibilities

• Manages the New Beginnings Therapeutic Day Program in compliance with laws, licensing, and program standards.
• Monitors service quality to ensure compliance with Title 17, Title 22, and regulations.
• Oversees daily program operations, safety, maintenance, and regulatory compliance of the facility.
• Plans and supervises staff to ensure effective program development and participant outcomes.
• Maintains participant-to-staff ratios and ensures ongoing supervision and safety.
• Trains staff in Pro-Act crisis intervention, de-escalation, and safety procedures.
• Conducts site checks, staff evaluations, and monthly in-service trainings.
• Completes program records and coordinates with the interdisciplinary team.
