Job summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate IDD Service Coordinator to join our team with Pecan Valley Centers. The IDD Service Coordinator plays a pivotal role in supporting individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) by assisting them in accessing necessary services, enhancing their quality of life, and facilitating community integration. This position requires a deep commitment to advocating for the rights and needs of individuals with IDD, ensuring that they receive comprehensive support tailored to their unique circumstances. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with various stakeholders, including clients, families, service providers, and community organizations. As an IDD Service Coordinator, you will be tasked with developing and implementing individualized service plans, monitoring progress, and providing guidance to families navigating the complexities of the support system. Qualifications
  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree (or be actively enrolled in the last semester of completing a four-year degree) (preferred degree in human/social services field).
  • Strong understanding of service delivery systems for individuals with disabilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
  • Proficient in case management practices and documentation requirements.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases simultaneously.
  • Commitment to advocating for the rights and dignity of individuals with disabilities.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Have a Texas driver’s license.
  • Have a good driving record for the past three years.
  • Have a valid auto insurance card.

After completing a successful 6 months of individualized training there is the possibility to work remotely a few days a week.

This position allows for flexibility in creating your own schedule so long as the duties of this position with the assigned caseload are being met monthly and documentation is submitted in a timely manner to meet all necessary deadlines.

This position will carry a caseload for Erath, Hood, and Somervell counties and will have access to an agency vehicle for travel or be allowed to submit for travel reimbursement when using their own vehicle.

Salary is on a tier scale and dependent upon education and experience.

Physical Abilities: Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, squat, lift 25 pounds, sit for an extended period, and reach overhead.
