Job summary

The Jewish Board is seeking a Residence Manager to oversee IRA/ICF homes for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in New York. You will supervise Direct Service Professionals, manage schedules, ensure compliance with DOH/OPWDD/CARF and maintain high-quality care aligned with person-centered goals.

Join a collaborative interdisciplinary team, support family engagement, drive training, and monitor health, safety, and documentation within HER systems.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years working with individuals with IDD.
• At least 2 years of supervisory experience in a residential or human services setting.
• Familiarity with OPWDD and DOH regulations and policies strongly preferred.
• A valid NYS Driver’s License preferred.
• SCIP-R, CPR or AMAP trained and certified preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct supervision of DSPs including formal supervision, evaluations and feedback.
• Conduct weekly DSP meetings and rotate meeting times for all shifts.
• Recruiting, hiring, performance management and terminations per regulations.
• Provide ongoing training to direct support professionals and ensure timely completion of trainings.
• Coach, mentor and train staff towards excellence in service delivery.
• Maintain weekly schedules and ensure program coverage, vacations, overtime.
• Site observations weekly and monthly, including overnight and weekend checks.
• Daily review of HER systems to ensure timely documentation.
• Attend to staff ratio coverage up to two days per week.
• Escalate risks and challenges to program leadership promptly.
