Job summary

Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) Medicaid CHIP Services (MCS) seeks a Program Specialist IV to provide highly complex consultative and technical assistance for the IDD PES unit. The role supports enrollment, transfers, and eligibility activities across HCS, TxHmL, CLASS, ICF/IID, and CFC NW programs.

The position emphasizes collaboration, professional standards, and training of staff, with telework eligibility and a focus on program improvements.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of intellectual disabilities and other developmental disabilities.
• Familiarity with HCS, TxHmL, ICF/ID rules, billing guidelines, LIDDA functions.
• Ability to train, lead, and prioritize work of others.

Responsibilities

• Provide complex consultative and technical assistance to management, HHSC program staff, LIDDA, providers and stakeholders.
• Analyze data, prepare materials and respond to program information requests.
• Coordinate cross-agency workgroups to analyze, develop and implement program initiatives.
