This position requires Incident Management experience, as well as the ability to manage multiple deadlines. This is the first level of notification for all reportable investigations and will manage each investigation to its completion. This role requires coordination with program operations and the Quality Compliance Organization (QCO) for timely reporting into the state’s incident management system, follow-up and incident closure.
Job Responsibilities
- Receive notifications of an incident and follow protocols based on incident type.
- Notify the QCO and/or HR of an incident and the need for investigation, providing initial details of the incident.
- Keep track of all incidents from initial reporting to closure.
- Communicate effectively with investigators to ensure the process moves in a timely manner to meet benchmarks.
- Provide weekly updates of operations PQI Director regarding the status of incidents.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of state regulations utilized by the program supported.
- Coordinate, maintain and analyze incident data using a centralized system.
- Oversee the incident management database and serve as the designated data entry point, coordinating the completion of incident reports within established timeframes.
- Track trends and patterns to increase incident awareness and reduce occurrences.
- Monitor the incident hotline or reporting system to ensure completion of internal and external notifications; participate in on-call duties as assigned.
- Complete audits of incident reporting activities and/or programs.
- Participate in investigation review meetings and support surveys/inspections as needed.
- Follow up on disapprovals from county or state agencies and respond to audits for open cases and/or late closures.
- Maintain flexibility regarding work schedule (weekend on-call schedule).
Qualifications
- Incidents Management experience with ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Excellent writing, verbal, and time-management skills.
- Comprehensive knowledge of state regulations utilized by the program supported.
- Ability to maintain accurate data and work with investigators to move investigations to closure.
