Job summary

Pecan Valley Mh-Mr Region in Stephenville, TX is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse to provide nursing services within Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities programs. You will conduct physical assessments, participate in treatment planning, and ensure timely documentation.

Responsibilities include coordinating medical treatments, administering medications, monitoring health, and supporting adults in Home and Community Based services.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice as a Licensed Vocational Nurse in Texas.
• Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Have a Texas driver’s license.
• Have a good driving record for the past 3 years.
• Have a valid auto insurance card.

• Provide nursing services in IDD programs, including physical assessments, treatment planning, and documentation.
• Coordinate medical treatments and medication administration.
• Monitor health status of individuals and respond to trauma in a respectful manner.
• Teach and assist adults with IDD in Home and Community Based (HCS) settings.
• Work after hours and weekend on-call as required.

Salary is on a tier scale depending on Experience.

Providing nursing services in the Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) programs including but not limited to:

• Physical Assessments
• Treatment planning
• Timely documentation
• Coordination of medical treatments
• Medication administration
• Monitoring of health status of individuals
• Teaching and assisting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in the Home and Community Based (HCS)
• Texas Home Living Waiver (TxHmL) and Intermediate Care for Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (ICF-IDD) programs
• Understanding, recognizing, and responding to the effects of all types of trauma, and an ability to work in a behavioral environment where staff convey dignity, respect, hopefulness, and the opportunity for choice and empowerment among consumers
• After hours and weekend on-call work required.
