Job summary

Pecan Valley Mh-Mr Region is seeking a dedicated individual to train adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities at our life skills center in Stephenville, TX. The role focuses on teaching basic self-help and homemaking skills, plus essential work habits and interpersonal skills to residents.

The position is full-time, daytime, with a requirement for a Texas driver’s license and the ability to lift and move handicapped clients as needed. A high school diploma or GED is required.

Duties

Duties consist of but are not limited to: providing training to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in our life skills center, in basic self-help and homemaking skills, effective work habits and interpersonal skills. Work is performed at the life skills center.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required. If an applicant does not possess high school diploma or GED, they must pass an agency competency exam.
• Must have a Texas driver's license, have a clear driving record for the past 3 years and have a valid auto insurance card.
• Must satisfactorily perform job-related physical and able perform routine lifting of handicapped clients.
• Must be able to bend, stoop, crouch, sit, stand, push, pull, kneel, and reach overhead and lift.
