Job summary

RHA Health Services, LLC is seeking an Executive Director in Walnut Creek to provide strategic and operational leadership for a dedicated IDD unit. You will oversee clinical, administrative, financial, and workforce operations while ensuring person-centered services and adherence to regulatory standards.

The role focuses on quality improvement, staff development, and collaboration with regulators and community partners to achieve strong outcomes for individuals supported.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human services, Health Administration, Social Work, or a related field required; master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of five (5) years of leadership experience in IDD services, long term care facilities or related healthcare/human services settings.
• Demonstrated knowledge of regulatory standards and quality frameworks applicable to IDD services (e.g., HCBS, CMS, CARF, state licensing bodies).
• Proven ability to lead interdisciplinary teams and drive service excellence in a complex, regulated environment.
• Strong financial acumen, including experience managing operating budgets and business performance metrics.
• Exceptional interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Leads the overall management of the business unit, ensuring person‑centered service delivery and program integrity.
• Oversees the work of clinical, administrative, and operational departments and ensures regulatory compliance and risk management.
• Drives quality improvement initiatives and monitors Plans of Correction and audits.
• Provides clinical oversight via licensed professionals and aligns services with best practices and regulatory standards.
• Leads staff training initiatives and fosters professional development and engagement.
• Collaborates with external agencies, families, and community partners to strengthen services.
