Job summary

Beacon Specialized Living in Madison, WI is seeking a Care Team Manager to lead day-to-day operations at one of our residential homes serving individuals with IDD.

You will coach DSPs, ensure care plans are followed, and partner with families and community partners to maintain a safe, compassionate home.

Qualifications

• Experience in IDD, behavioral health, healthcare, or residential services preferred.
• Supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to coach, motivate, and hold team members accountable.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, 24/7 residential environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) and residential staff.
• Oversee the daily operations of the assigned home.
• Ensure individuals receive care and support consistent with their individual needs and plans.
• Provide coaching, training, and performance feedback to team members.
• Assist with recruiting, onboarding, scheduling, and staff retention.
• Ensure required documentation is completed accurately and on time.
• Monitor compliance with company policies, state regulations, and applicable care standards.
• Support medication administration and health/safety procedures as required.
• Respond appropriately to behavioral or operational concerns and escalate issues when necessary.
• Build positive relationships with individuals supported, families, staff, and community partners.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming home environment.
• Participate in meetings, trainings, and quality-improvement initiatives.
• Serve as a hands-on leader who is willing to step in and support the team when needed.
