Job summary

The City of Virginia Beach is seeking a Clinician I to guide a team of Direct Support Professionals in a residential group home setting. You will craft person-centered plans, manage complex behavioral and medical needs, and ensure compliance with state licensing and Medicaid standards.

You will supervise DSPs and Behavior Specialists, develop ISPs, review records for accuracy, and serve as the primary liaison between participants, families, healthcare providers, and community partners to

Qualifications

Requires a four-year degree in a human services field and one year of experience working with persons with intellectual disability, or equivalent combination of education/experience.

Responsibilities

Lead Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) and Behavior Specialists, auditing daily documentation and hourly billing accuracy.
Develop, implement, and track Individual Service Plans (ISPs) and lead interdisciplinary team meetings.
Review service logs weekly and sign off on quarterly EHR reviews under state licensure, Medicaid waiver, and HCBS rules.
Prepare and verify Medication Administration Records (MARs) and conduct monthly substance counts.
Act as primary liaison between participants, families, healthcare providers, and community partners to maximize client benefits.
